My Journey From Nothing To Winning!

 Hello, my name is Karl and I'm a recovering gambling addict and I'm here to talk to you about my journey, From loosing all my wages each month and falling further into debt to now curbing the addiction and feeling like a winner! The highs of gambling and the much more often lows of gambling and all the emotions that come with it.

Follow me as I tell you my journey and the highs and lows that came with it.

It all started being very meaningless, watching friends win gave me the thought "what if I win big too" and that was the first slip in a very steep and slippery slope, Just because someone else has won big doesn't mean you will too, if only I knew that then!

 I'd be making small deposits of £10-£20 and usually not winning anything but just having fun enjoying the large variety of games available to hand, It didn't bother me then as I felt as I was in control but those little deposits daily added up and even though on days I'd double my deposit I'd still be at a loss hoping to hit it big.

I then began to look for new sign up offers, Firstly it was for no deposit bonuses, what can I get for free and play with to gain maximum profit? But I'd always lose it all through trying to hit that big win (After all it didn't cost me anything) but I in fact lost profit that could offset my losses, Then came the deposit bonuses, it felt great depositing £10 to play with £50 even with a 35X wagering requirement, bet big, win big was my motive and again it mostly ended in a loss, occasionally I would win a few hundred but eventually that'll be deposited back on in the vain hope of hitting that big one!

This is when the guilt really kicks in! The thoughts of "I had £500+ and now nothing all in half hour or less". The promises of not doing again and finding yourself in the same position as soon as the opportunity has presented itself again, The overwhelming feeling of shame and having to hide this from those closest to you, The lies and deceit to cover up your gambling losses and not to mention the crippling feeling of not having any money for any of your bills.

I heavily encourage anyone that's struggling with this addiction to please teach our and ask for help! It's nothing to be ashamed of we all have struggles we find hard to break!
